Luminometer

A luminometer is a highly sensitive scientific instrument used to detect and measure faint emissions of visible light (luminescence) produced by biological or chemical reactions. Because the sample emits its own light, luminometers only require a light detector (like a photomultiplier tube) and do not need a lamp or excitation filters.
