Web Information

 TurboVap® II
Automated Solvent Evaporation System

The new TurboVap® II is built on the solid foundations of reliability and performance that made it the market leader for solvent evaporation. The unit provides parallel evaporation of up to 6 samples in either 50 mL or 200 mL glassware with or without end point detection. The modern design incorporates many new customer driven features for easier use and expanded functionality. TurboVap II still utilizes the highly efficient patented gas vortex shearing technology, which is synonymous with the TurboVap brand.

 Benefits

The new TurboVap® is designed around a common chassis with interchangeable accessories, allowing users to switch quickly between configurations for a wide range of sample sizes and applications.

 Automatic End-Point Detection

TurboVap II features automatic end-point detection for 50 or 200 mL capacity glassware with 0.5 mL or 1.0 mL end-points. Automatic end-point glassware ensures that your samples will never evaporate to dryness, preventing loss of analytes. TurboVap II is capable of evaporating up to 6 samples of up to 200 mL in volume with independent vial control..

 Gas Flow Gradients

Flow gradients within a method means that gas flow can be gradually increased as the evaporation cycle progresses. The low flow rate early in the process promotes gradual evaporation. As the sample evaporates and more space is available in the tube/vial, the gas flow can be increased to further speed evaporation. Evaporation proceeds optimally, avoiding splashing and eliminating the possibility of cross contamination.

Removable Nozzles

Individual removable nozzles ensure that cleaning and maintenance in the instance of a blockage is easy and straightforward. Replacement takes a matter of seconds. Simplifying maintenance and reducing operating costs.
Illuminated Water Bath with Indicator

Improved visibility with glass sides and see through lid means that sample visibility during evaporation and method set-up is no longer an issue. Color changing lighting ensures you know when sample evaporation is complete.
Create & Save Methods on 7" Touch Screen

Color touch screen operation. Provides easy set-up and optimization of methods. Once the method is running, a clearly visible display screen and adjustable-volume alarm offer true walk-away operation, providing visual and an audible alert when a run has finished.
Acid Resistant PTFE Version

For challenging application involving the use of certain acids and bases a PTFE manifold version of the product is available, which features inert passivated nozzles to resist corrosion
Water Bath Drain Port

Easy water bath management. The drain port on system ensures that emptying and filling of the water bath is quick and trouble free. Makes it easy to change the heating bath water for system cleanliness without having to carry the unit to a sink (as with other evaporators)
Small Footprint

Compact system with small footprint, you can fit three new TurboVap units in the space occupied by two classic style units maximizing valuable laboratory space.
