The Thermo Shandon Histocentre 3 Tissue Embedding Center is the perfect complement to any Histology Laboratory. This embedding center has a low profile working surface at just under 4 inches, and a fast melting, high capacity 5-liter paraffin tank. Once melted a gravity feed dispenses paraffin on demand at a flow rate that is fully adjustable to your needs. This paraffin machine uses cool touch tamping tools help position and flatten the specimen. The large tissue storage tank of this Paraffin Wax Embedding Station comes with a removable lid, and is easy to drain, reducing the chance of specimen contamination and speeding clean up.

The Thermo Shandon Histocentre 3 Tissue Embedding Center can hold a variety of baskets either from other brands, or in the Shandon Line, 6 pathcentre baskets, 8 excelsior baskets, or 2 hypercenter baskets. This Paraffin Wax Embedding Station has an intuitive touch screen that allows users to set their parameters quickly and easily, while a smart timer digital control can be set to have the unit ready to go when you arrive, and shut off automatically at the end of the day.  Waste wax is stored and then drained through a valve and hose for simple clean disposal.

This Thermo Shandon Histocentre 3 Tissue Embedding Center comes with a thermoelectrically cooled cold plate, featuring the same low profile as the base unit, and quiet operation at less than 65 dBA. The cold plate achieves temperature of -12° C within 30 minutes, and can fit roughly 72 standard molds on its roomy 14” x 16” surface.  An insulated edge protects wrists while users work on the easy wipe-clean top.
