Providing throughput speeds of 6 to 10 seconds per sample with no up-front sample preparation, the RapidFire 300/MS system fully integrates with triple quadrupole mass spectrometers. The system integrates fast, serial, online sample purification with triple quadrupole, TOF or Q-TOF mass spectrometric analysis.
Its flexible plate mapping, automated 6-cartridge changer and optical sensors to detect fluid flow, enable researchers to operate the system unattended, overnight or for long durations. Especially suited for pharmaceutical drug discovery and clinical research laboratories, RapidFire delivers lower cost per well and increased productivity.
An Overview of RapidFire Technology
RapidFire is a SPE-based, front-end system that enables detection of native compounds by mass spec. Requiring no labels or surrogates, it enables the screening of intractable or challenging targets which are not amenable to fluorescence or luminescence. Sample throughput is 10x faster than conventional MS screening methods. Featuring fast and easy conversion, you can use Agilent’s RapidFire and conventional HPLC on a single mass spectrometer.

The Agilent RapidFire system requires no up-front sample preparation. The system samples directly from quenched assay plates without the need for offline solid-phase extraction or any other sample de-salting or pre-processing.
Researchers generate fast, accurate and reproducible results without the use of surrogates, radioactivity, coupled assays or indirect measurements. The sequence-based injection of the RapidFire enables individual wells of each plate to be analyzed using separate mass spectrometric methods. The system can accommodate up to eighteen standard 96 or 384 well plates.
