The Olympus type CK2-TR phase contrast inverted microscope is ideal for viewing the internal structures of living cell cultures in culture flasks and petri dishes without staining them.

The CK2 is also suitable for studying living cells due to the relatively large distance between the lens and the lamp. This allows larger objects such as Petri dishes, well plates and culture flasks/cell culture flasks to be placed under the microscope.

This microscope is used, among other things, in hospital laboratories.
